Why The CSC 500 Project?
Our Findings
Millions of people around the globe are plagued with different skin disorders such as skin bleaching, psoriasis, eczema, Contact Dermatitis, Atopic Dermatitis, neurodermatitis, Acne, Petrea Rosea, Nummular Eczema, skin dryness & Scaling etc.
Hence, we (Eunica) have decided to push in the right narrative by providing affordable lotions, oils, soaps that are organic with the right PH balance to help prevent some of these conditions. We also provide to the masses, deep rooted knowledge to help them combat these skin disorders.
The Wrong Narrative
In Africa, we have tons of people with skin disorder due to lack of proper orientation about their skin types and what should be done to correct or attempt to fix the skin condition medically.
It is worth noting that, skin bleaching is seated at 40% in African and a staggering 77% in Nigeria alone with women who indulge in bleaching their skin.
The Misleading Propaganda
From consulting to questionnaires in the street, most of these women believe; the lighter their skin the more beautiful they are.
This bias propaganda of the “lighter your complexion the more beautiful you are” has spread wildly especially in Nigeria where more and more women indulge in this practice, with most of them willing to spend handsomely to get their skin as white as possible.
Unfortunately, those involved in this practice are clueless about the devastating effect of drastic Skin bleaching or are not properly informed on how to deal with some of these skin disorders mentioned above.
